The final week of The Un-Canceled Project was Commitment. It wrapped up 6 weeks of Running Un-Canceled! ππ»ββοΈππ»ππ»ββοΈ

My first Commitment run was a 5K! ππ»ββοΈ

π©π»βπ¨ I kept my driveway finish line art pretty simple for this one. π

I earned my 8K virtual bib on the next run!

It was an unusually windy day that day, so I had crazy run hair! π

The Un-Canceled Project created a special virtual bib during Commitment week in support of Ahmaud Auberyβs family. He was tragically shot and killed while running on February 23 and his killers had not been brought to justice. π

Many runners all around the nation ran 2.23 miles on May 8th, which would have been his 26th Birthday. His murderers have since been arrested and charged with his murder.

I ended the week with a 10K run on a beautiful day and got an awesome start line selfie π€³π» with my family before starting my race! πΈ

We even spent some quality time adding more chalk art to my driveway finish line! Thank you Shannon for my 10K art! π€©

I have so much Gratitude for this amazing running project. A project that brought so much Hope in a time of uncertainty. Reminding us that we were all in this together and connecting us with fun themes like Humor to keep us all smiling. Itβs given us all the Inspiration to continue training, even though our racing events have all been postponed or canceled. It has also given us the Courage to go out and accomplish our goals without the crowd support, aid stations and closed courses that weβre used to. And so many runners completed first time distances from 5Kβs to Ultras because of their Commitment to The Un-Canceled Project! π

So after earning 24 virtual bibs in the past 6 weeks, Iβm super excited about the next 6 weeks as Run The Edge has continued this program and I have registered for The Un-Canceled Project 2! They even have a t-shirt and a medal now!!! ππ π #wewillracetogetheragain #separatedtogether #justkeeprunning
