The SARR Labor Day Whine Run is back!!!! (As a live event.) A new location, but still!!! 😍 For 2021 this event was held at the Blue Lotus Winery it Seguin, Texas.

We arrived before sunrise, a bit tired but ready to run, visit with friends and drink wine! 🥰

There was a bit of a delay before the start so we had more time to hang out with the RunFam before setting out to run this new course. Shannon and I were both running the 5 miler but there was also a 5K.

Always great seeing the E-Dragon family at races! 😍

Got my start line selfie 🤳🏻 as runners were released by corral for social distancing. What a turnout! Although I’m fully vaccinated I still wear a mask, especially for large gatherings like this (not while running, of course.) SARR’s race swag included a face mask. Unfortunately, I registered last minute and didn’t get a race shirt tho. 🙁

Off we go 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻🏃🏻♂️ ….running for wine. 🍷

The course was nice and smooth with a couple of “smallish” hills and the weather was decent. Humid but cloudy so not as hot as it could have been. We even had some sprinkles just before the start of the race.

There were some great motivational signs along the way too! 😜

One last hill before the finish. 🤨

Back to the winery and we were already beyond the 5 mile mark. 😳 The 5 mile course ended up being more than a quarter mile over. My Garmin was at 5.33 miles at the finish line. 😬

Two free glasses of wine 🍷🍷 for runners over 21. 😃 (The wine slushees are my FAVE!!!) ❤️

Cheers!! 🥂

While running the course, I was reunited with a friend that I hadn’t seen in 22 years! How amazing is that! We got to catch up a bit between running and wine! 😃

Shannon and I really enjoyed post race wine and hanging out with friends after the race. 🍷

The first 3 times I’ve run this Labor Day event, it was held at the Dry Comal Creek Winery in New Braunfels, Texas. Last year, due to the pandemic, it was virtual. This year, it was held at the Blue Lotus Winery in Seguin, Texas. Always a great event with sweet swag and a great after party! 🥳

Thank you SARR for finding this great new venue and successfully reviving one of my fave races! 🙏🏻😍🍷
